Mali: Demonstrations scheduled in Bamako November 15-17

Demonstrations scheduled in Bamako November 15 and 17; heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions expected

Malian opposition parties are set to hold a demonstration in Bamako on Friday, November 15. Participants will gather at the Monument de l'Indépendance at 14:00 (local time) on Friday afternoon. The demonstration has not been authorized by local officials as of Thursday, November 14.

Civil society organizations will hold a demonstration in Bamako on Sunday, November 17. Participants are expected to gather at Palais des Sports at 10:00 on Sunday morning. The event has been given authorization by the local government.

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions, including road closures and public transport delays, are expected near the protest sites.
