IED blast injures several in Kidal on August 31; further attacks possible
Event
The detonation of an improvised explosive device (IED) that targeted a military vehicle injured several people in the outskirts of Kidal on Monday, August 31. The blast reportedly struck a United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) vehicle in the Achantebaguite area of the city, near to a UN facility.
Similar attacks are possible in the area over the near term.
