Unionized subway workers to strike on all lines in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1900-2200 Feb. 5. Service disruptions likely.

Warning

Event

Members of the Association of Subway and Premetro Workers (AGTSyP) union have called for a partial strike 1900-2200 Feb. 5. The strike will affect all six lines of the Buenos Aires Underground (Subterraneos de Buenos Aires, also known as the Subte), as well as the Premetro, which connects with line E of the Subte. The work stoppage will denounce the labor conditions of workers over the age of 60.

Unless averted, the strike will cause major disruptions to rail services, especially for essential workers and other persons authorized to use public transport networks in the capital. Increased demand for alternative means of transport is possible during the strike.

Advice

Plan for service disruptions during the work stoppage. Confirm taxi and private vehicle reservations from the evening of Feb. 5.
