Mali: Several soldiers killed in armed attack in Bandiagara late Feb. 25

At least nine soldiers were killed and several others injured in Bandiagara, Mopti Region, late Feb. 25, after an attack on a military post by suspected Islamist militants. It is not clear if there were any casualties among the attackers.

Mali is currently in the midst of a conflict where separatist movements are vying for control in the country's central and northern regions.
