Mali: Civil society group calls for protest in Bamako April 22

A civil society group has called for a protest at the Energie Du Mali Sa headquarters, located near the French Embassy in Bamako, from 10:00 April 22. The action has been called to protest unplanned electricity load shedding. Dozens to a few hundred people may attend.

Heightened security and ground travel delays are possible near the protest site. Clashes are possible if protesters ignore police orders to disperse, particularly if no protest permission has been obtained.
