Mali: Civil society group calls for protest in Bamako April 29 /update 1

A civil society group has called for a protest at the Energie Du Mali Sa headquarters, located near the French Embassy in Bamako, from 10:00 April 29. The action has been called to protest unplanned electricity load shedding. Dozens to a few hundred people may attend. Police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd during a similar demonstration on April 22 at the same location.
