Context

Armed groups also continue to demonstrate a capability to strike civilians and security forces. The security situation is further undermined by local rivalries and sporadic communal violence, lawlessness, and banditry.

Advice

Avoid travel at night and consider travel in convoy outside of Bamako. Liaise with trusted sources on the status of routes before departure. Maintain regular contact with your diplomatic representation.
