Argentina: Activst group to protest in Buenos Aires Dec. 15-16

Members of the Prensa Tupac organization plan to protest at the Obelisco in Buenos Aires Dec. 15-16. Activists will gather at 16:00 and remain overnight through Dec. 16. The protest is being held to demand the release of Prensa Tupac leader Milagro Sala. The Obelisco is near the Supreme Court building; protesters may march to the nearby Supreme Court. It is unclear how many people will attend the demonstration.

Security forces are likely to deploy to monitor proceedings. Traffic disruptions are likely in the impact area through Dec. 15 and early Dec. 16. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out.
