The Potosi Civic Committee (Comite Civico Potosinista, COMCIPO) is planning a protest march in Potosi from 14:00 Dec. 14. The action is to denounce the arrest of former COMCIPO leader Marco Antonio Pumari. Protesters will gather at Plaza el Minero and march to the cemetery on Chayanta Street, then to the bus terminal on Avenida Universitaria, and finally to Don Bosco school on Avenida del Tinkuy. It is unclear how many people will attend the protest.
Authorities are likely to deploy along the march route to monitor proceedings. Transport disruptions are likely through the afternoon of Dec. 14. Clashes are possible if the protest becomes unruly.
