Authorities in the Cayman Islands maintained COVID-19-related international travel and domestic restrictions March 18 as the country remains in phase five of its reopening plan.

Domestic Measures
Individuals must wear protective facemasks in indoor public settings. Most gatherings are limited to 500 people indoors and 1,000 people outside.

International Travel Restrictions

All passengers over the age of five are required to submit a negative result from a COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken no more than 24 hours prior to their departure for the Cayman Islands. All travelers must receive approval to enter the territory through the Travel Cayman system prior to departure.

Persons who provide verifiable proof of having been fully vaccinated, or do not have verifiable proof but have remained in a country with vaccination rates exceeding 60 percent in the 14 days prior to travel, as well as their children aged 11 or younger, are not required to quarantine. Travelers who are unvaccinated or are arriving from a country with vaccination rates lower than 60 percent and do not have verifiable proof of vaccination, as well as their children aged 11 or younger, must quarantine for seven days. Individuals must isolate at a government-approved location. Fully vaccinated persons staying in the same accommodations as family members who are required to quarantine must take a daily antigen test if they wish to go out during the family members' isolation period. GPS tracking is required for those allowed to isolate at a private residence and authorities may carry out checks.

Authorities could also move to reimpose, extend, tighten, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
