Various activist groups are staging demonstrations in Mexico City, Mexico, June 22. Protesters are gathering for a variety of reasons. Locations and times of gatherings taking place are as follows:

  • 08:00: Activists gathered at Calle Carolina 132, Benito Juarez Borough

  • 10:00: Activists to gather at Avenida Jose Maria Pino Suarez 2, Cuauhtemoc Borough

  • 11:00: Activists to gather at Avenida Juarez 50 and march towards Calle Republica de Brasil 31, Cuauhtemoc Borough.

  • 13:00: Activists to gather at Avenida Fray Servando Teresa de Mier 92 and 99 and march towards Calle Gabriel Hernandez 56, Cuauhtemoc Borough.

  • 19:00: Activists to gather at Avenida Presidente Juarez and march towards the intersection of Avenida Aquiles Serdan and Calzada de las Armas, Azcapotzalco Borough

  • All day: Activists to gather at the Plaza de la Constitucion/Zocalo as well as at Calle Republica de Brasil 31, Cuauhtemoc Borough.

Heightened security is likely around demonstration sites. Localized transport and business disruptions are also likely in rally-affected areas. Clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out, especially if security forces attempt to disperse crowds forcibly.

Avoid all demonstrations as a precaution. Allow additional time to reach destinations near rally locations; consider taking alternative routes to circumvent any related disruptions. Do not attempt to drive through any protester-erected roadblocks; wait for the police to dismantle them instead before proceeding. If violence occurs, immediately leave the area and seek shelter in a secure, nongovernmental building. Heed the instructions of security personnel.
