Disability rights activists are holding protests in several locations in Argentina Aug. 29-31. They are demanding more funding and services from the government, and protesting debts in payments to workers.

In Buenos Aires, activists have launched a rally in Plaza de Mayo, outside the presidential palace of Casa Rosada, where they intend to remain through Aug. 31. In Mendoza, activists are holding a protest outside the Government House of the Mendoza province early Aug. 29, while in Rosario, they intend to demonstrate at the Monumento a la Bandera, starting at 10:00 Aug. 30.

Protests in other locations in Argentina cannot be ruled out. Hundreds are likely to participate in the demonstrations in both Buenos Aires and Rosario. Localized transport disruptions and heightened security are likely. Violence is unlikely.
