Activists affiliated with several organizations, including the Autonomous Argentina's Workers Central (Central de Trabajadores de Argentina Autonoma, CTA-A), plan to protest outside the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) office in Buenos Aires, Oct. 14. Protesters intend to gather along Calle Paraguay, in front of Plaza Libertad, starting at 11:00. Demonstrators oppose the multilateral organization's presence in the country and its recent agreements with the national government.

Hundreds, perhaps a few thousand, activists are likely to participate in the demonstration, which will likely prompt transport disruptions in the area. Heightened security outside the IMF's office is likely. Significant violence is not likely.
