University professors affiliated with several unions, including the National Federation of University Professors, Researchers and Creators (Federacion Nacional de Docentes, Investigadores y Creadores Universitarios, CONADU), plan to hold a 48-hour nationwide strike in Argentina, Oct. 13-14, to demand salary negotiations with government representatives.
Activists are likely to hold protests in several cities. One confirmed demonstration will take place in Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires, between 09:00-17:00 Oct. 13. Other protests are likely in cities such as Rosario, Cordoba, and Mendoza, near government offices and outside of public universities.
