Bolivia: Activists to protest march from El Alto to La Paz 07:00 Oct. 5

Leftist activists with Los Panchos Rojos (the Red Ponchos) and other organizations will march from El Alto to neighboring La Paz Oct. 5. Demonstrators will gather at 07:00 in San Roque before marching to the Plaza Murrillo. While organizers have not yet announced a march route, the demonstration is likely to occur on National Route 2 (Avenida Panamericana), National Route 1 (Avenida Juan Pablo II), and National Route 3 (Autopista La Paz-El Alto).

Significant transport disruptions are likely, including near the El Alto International Airport (LPB), and the demonstration could temporarily block transport between El Alto and La Paz. Police are likely to deploy to the march to monitor it.
