Coca cultivators affiliated with the Departmental Association of Coca Producers (Asociacion Departamental de Productores de Coca, ADEPCOCA) will protest in La Paz Oct. 10. While organizers have not announced a specific time for the protest or a march route, participants are likely to march to government buildings in the city. Demonstrators are also likely to gather near Plaza del Maestro, in the Villa El Carmen area of La Paz. The purpose of the demonstration is to demand the release of members of ADEPCOCA from prison, among other issues.

Significant transport disruptions are likely around protest sites. Police are likely to deploy to monitor all gatherings. Clashes cannot be ruled out.
