Labor activists affiliated with the Unidad Piquetera (Piquetera Unit) are planning to protest in central Buenos Aires Feb. 15 to voice several demands, including for greater government assistance as part of the Potenciar Trabajo (Enhance Work) program. Protesters will reportedly gather at the Obelisco on Avenida 9 de Julio from 15:00 and then march toward the Ministry of Social Development, where they plan to spend the night. Thousands of people may participate in the protest. Related gatherings are also possible in public squares, near government buildings, and on thoroughfares elsewhere in Buenos Aires and in other cities.
