Members of the Association of Subway and Premetro Workers (Asociacion Gremial de Trabajadores del Subte y Premetro, AGTSyP) union plan to hold a strike that will affect all lines of the Buenos Aires Subway (Subterraneos de Buenos Aires, also known as the Subte), at different times of the day on May 23. The purpose of the action is to demand increased salaries and a shorter work week.

The planned strike will affect the following subway lines during these hours:

  • H Line: 05:30-09:00

  • B Line: 09:00-12:00

  • C Line: 12:00-15:00

  • E Line and Premetro: 15:00-18:00

  • A Line: 18:00-21:00

  • D Line: 21:00-23:59

Crowded conditions, delays on operable subway lines, and increased demand for alternative means of transport are likely during the work stoppage.
