Informational

Event

Farmers affiliated with the 'Evista' wing of the Single Union Confederation of Peasant Workers of Bolivia (CSUTCB) have called off a nationwide road blockade initially planned for Sept. 4. The development follows a meeting between organizers and various social groups. Participants are giving the government until Oct. 15 to address their demands, including the handover of CSUTCB headquarters in La Paz, which is allegedly under police control. If authorities fail to respond, an indefinite national blockade will begin Oct. 16.
