Activists to protest in central Hamburg, Germany, on June 22 and along Willy-Brandt-Strasse, Berlin, on June 23. Heightened security likely.

Informational

Activists plan to protest in central Hamburg on June 22 and Berlin on June 23. The purpose of the demonstrations is to denounce a visit by Argentine President Javeri Milei. It remains unclear how many participants may attend. The following protests will take place:

  • Hamburg: Participants will gather at Landungsbruecken Station at 12:30 June 22 before moving to Hotel Hafen Hamburg on Seewartenstrasse for a rally starting 14:00.

  • Berlin: Activists will protest at the Federal Chancellery (Bundeskanzleramt) on Willy-Brandt-Strasse from 11:30.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest sites. Rail disruptions are possible at Landungsbruecken Station in Hamburg in the early afternoon June 22. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers or among supporters of rival political camps cannot be ruled out.

Avoid all protests as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the planned demonstration locations in Hamburg or Berlin June 22-23. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign of any security disturbance.
