Authorities are working to dispose of an unexploded WWII bomb found on An der Schanze in Regensburg as of the evening of June 25. The unexploded ordnance was discovered by construction workers earlier in the day. Authorities have established a 700-meter (2,297-foot) safety area around the bomb's location and closed several roads. The railway between Regensburg Central Station (Regensburg Hauptbahnhof) and Undorf Station is closed. It was not immediately apparent how long the operation would last.

The evacuation order, heightened security, and road and rail closures will continue until authorities give the all-clear. Localized transport disruptions are likely near the evacuation zone.

Avoid the operation area. Allow additional time if traveling near the evacuation zone. Allow additional time for rail travel via Regensburg Central Station. Strictly heed all instructions from authorities.
