Mali: Anti-MINUSMA protest at Palais de la Culture in Bamako from 14:00 April 28

Activists affiliated with the Yerewolo Debout sur les Remparts civil society group plan to gather at the Palais de la Culture in Bamako from 14:00 April 28. The purpose of the action is to demand the immediate departure of the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) from the country. The demonstration may draw a few thousand people. Similar gatherings may occur elsewhere in the country.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the gathering location. Ground transport disruptions could impact the Martyrs Bridge (Pont des Martyrs). Given the pro-government nature of the protest, clashes between police and demonstrators are unlikely, except if protesters are overly disruptive.
