Orange alerts for snow in western regions of Bolivia July 18-22

The national weather service SENAMHI has issued orange alerts, the second-highest level, for areas in the west of the country due to snow. One alert will be in effect from the evening of Wednesday, July 18, until the following morning in the western Andes area. A second will be in effect from Thursday, July 19, through Sunday, July 22, in the Altiplano (Andean Plateau) area, i.e. the departments of La Paz, Oruro, and Potosí.

Associated transportation disruptions and power outages are possible.
