LATAM canceled all flights to, from, and within Argentina and has asked passengers to reschedule their flights. Aerolíneas Argentinas and budget airline Jetsmart also announced all scheduled flights have been canceled for Tuesday. Further flight disruptions are expected throughout the country on Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday, May 1.

Several union leaders, led by Hugo Moyano, are calling for members to hold a general strike on Tuesday. Mayano is joined by leaders from mechanic, bank workers, teachers, and lawmakers unions. Significant transportation and commercial disruptions are anticipated during the strike. A ground transportation strike is also scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, as members of the Confederation of Argentine Transport Workers (CATT) conduct a work stoppage. The CATT strike is expected to affect rail, subway, and bus services.

Mayano has accused the CGT union confederation of failing to put pressure on President Macri and preventing thousands of workers from losing their jobs. CATT leaders have confirmed the union; will not participate in the April 30 strike.
