Protest to take place in Bamako on July 15; heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions expected

Whlie the protest is expected to remain peaceful, the diplomatic authorities warned that local police have used tear gas and other riot control measures to disperse protesters at previous similar demonstrations.

The move comes after the former G5 Sahel headquarters in Mopti was attacked in June 2018.
