Taxi drivers are to begin an indefinite strike to protest app-based ride-sharing services on Tuesday, October 8, and Thursday, October 11, in Buenos Aires. Protests are planned across the city from 09:00 (local time) through 11:00 on both days. Those participating in the protests intend on gathering and blocking roads at several meeting points:

Similar blockades are possible in other urban centers. Taxi service interruptions are to be expected. Associated localized transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are expected in the vicinity of all protests.
