Argentina: Disruptions ongoing along the old Pueyrredon bridge, between Avellaneda and Buenos Aires, early June 11

Activists affiliated with several unions have launched a protest along the old Pueyrredon bridge connecting Avellaneda, in the Buenos Aires Province, and the city of Buenos Aires, early June 11. Demonstrators are protesting recent dismissals in several companies, including Aerolineas Argentinas (AR), and other transport companies. Police have clashed with demonstrators, in an attempt to avoid the closure of the bridge; however, demonstrators have built roadblocks, and traffic in the area has been affected.

Transport disruptions are likely over the coming hours, as well as heightened security in the area. Further clashes are possible.
