Activists affiliated with multiple left-wing organizations and unions have initiated protests in Buenos Aires, Aug. 24, against job insecurity. Protesters have blocked Puente Pueyrredon, in the Avellaneda area, blocking traffic going into central Buenos Aires. Participants also plan to march to the Social Development Ministry, in downtown Buenos Aires, along Avenida 9 de Julio and Avenida de Mayo.

Significant transport disruptions are likely in the areas surrounding the demonstrations. Police have deployed to the area, and clashes with protesters are possible. Business disruptions are also likely Aug. 24.
