Mali: Activists to gather in Bamako, Sept. 5

The US Embassy in Mali has issued a demonstration alert noting that the Platform Yerewolo Debout sur les Remparts, a civil society group, will gather in Bamako from 14:00 Sept. 5. Organizers plan to gather at Monument de la Paix to celebrate Malian Flag Day. Hundreds of people could participate. The embassy has noted that officials have authorized the event.
