Activists affiliated with left-wing organizations and unions have initiated protests in different locations across Buenos Aires Jan. 25 to denounce job insecurity. Protesters have blocked traffic along Puente Pueyrredon, in the Avellaneda area, disrupting traffic en route to central Buenos Aires. Traffic disruptions have also been reported in other parts of the capital, including along Puente Saavedra and Avenida Vergara.

Significant transport disruptions are likely to continue over the coming hours in the areas surrounding the demonstrations Jan. 25. Police have deployed to the areas, and clashes with protesters are possible. Business disruptions are also likely in the affected areas.
