Activists from the Regional Coordinator of Families (Coordinadora Regional de Padres de Familia) and Regional Confederation of Mothers and Fathers of Families (Confederación Regional de Madre y Padres de Familia, Corempaf) plan to block several roads in El Alto from June 8 as part of a demonstration for better education conditions in schools. Protesters have stated that they will expand their blockades to other areas if their demands are not met. Organizers are calling for major roads and highways into El Alto to be blocked, including:

  • Avenue 6 de Marzo

  • Avenue 9 de Abril

  • Highway 1

  • Highway 2
