Members of various activist groups, including the Movement of Neighborhood Organizations (Movimiento de Organizaciones Barriales, MOB) are marching in downtown Santa Fe, Santa Fe Province, Aug. 8 to demand emergency economic measures and denounce an agreement between the government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Participants gathered at the intersection of Boulevard Pellegrini and Rivadavia and are marching toward the Ministry of Production of Santa Fe.

While the action has remained largely peaceful, clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out, especially if security forces attempt to forcibly disperse crowds. Localized transport and business disruptions are likely.
