A collection of activists from a variety of political and environmental groups calling themselves the Plurinational Action for Wetlands (Accion Plurinacional por los Humedales) with the support of Greenpeace are holding a protest on the Bridge of Our Lady of Rosario (Puente Nuestra Senora del Rosario) in Rosario late Sept. 17 to denounce what they claim are destructive environmental practices. The groups gathered by the bridge from 14:00, completely blocking traffic by 15:00. Protesters are encamping on the bridge and indicated they may close the bridge until 18:00 Sept. 18.
Transit disruptions on the bridge, which is a key link between Rosario and Entre Rios Province, are almost certain into Sept. 18. Activists, which currently number in the thousands, may demonstrate in central Rosario tomorrow, particularly in front of government buildings and in public squares. Heightened security and transit and business disruptions are possible in central Rosario through Sept. 18.

Avoid protests as a precaution. Plan on localized transit disruptions in Rosario between Rosario and Entre Rios Province on the RN 174 through Sept. 18. Heed all directives given by authorities.
