Unionized health workers of the city of Buenos Aires have launched a strike in Buenos Aires Nov. 8, and are holding a march in the city's downtown to demand higher salaries and more investment in health services. Activists gathered at the intersection of Callao and Corrientes, and from there have marched to the Ministry of Health, located near the Obelisco.

Transport and business disruptions throughout the march route are likely. Hundreds of people are likely participating in the demonstration. Heightened security near government offices is likely.
