Mali: Power outages planned in Bamako Dec. 3 due to scheduled maintenance
Utility provider plans to interrupt electrical supply in Bamako, Mali, Dec. 3 due to scheduled maintenance.

Mali's electrical utility provider Energie du Mali-SA (EDM-SA), has announced plans to temporarily suspend the supply of electricity in several parts of Bamako Dec. 3. The purpose of the interruptions is to allow for scheduled maintenance on the network. Power outages will occur at the following times and locations:
07:00-17:00: Missabougou, Yirimadio, Magnambougou Rural, Sabalibougou courani, Zrny, Sema, Dougourakoro, Banankabougou, Sema bole, Sifma bole, Faladie socoura, Faladie sema, Sokoro, Solola, Sirakoro, Village Can, Yorodjambougou, Niamakoro, Diatoula, Senou, Banankoro, Sanankoroba, N'tabacoro, Niamana, Dialakorobougou, Tieguenina, Kobala coura, and Coro;
08:00-18:00: Niarela, Bagadadji, TSF, Bakaribougou, Medina-Coura, Sikoroni, Banconi Sourakabougou, Korofina nord Razel, Fadjiguila, Marche Medine, Zone Industrielle, Quinzambougou, Hippodrome, Missira 2, Sotuba ACI, Sotuba Village, Ferme de Sotuba, LCV Souleymane Bougou, Titibougou, Fombabougou, Moribabougou, Kouloubleni, Rastabougou, Sangarebougou, Marseille, Konatebougou, Doumazana Nafadji, Banconi, Dialakorodji, Safo, Sala, Tienfala, Maraka Foro, and Kouliloro Ville.
Localized disruptions are possible in the affected areas around the city. Malfunctioning traffic signals could increase disruptions for ground transportation. The outages could extend beyond the estimated power restoration time.
Advice
Charge mobile and communication devices when possible and ensure backup batteries are available. Plan for road travel delays due to possible malfunctioning or nonfunctional traffic lights in affected areas. Exercise caution when driving in the impacted areas. Verify that security systems are working. Ensure that generators are functional and refuel equipment where necessary. Identify business-critical functions that require a power supply.
